A wedding film about finding the right person, looking back on the journey that brought them together, and choosing the future ahead.
Andy and Lesley's wedding at Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa had a very different energy to a fast-paced celebration. The emotion came from the people around them, the years behind them and the sense that this day represented the beginning of another chapter.
The speeches naturally looked backwards as well as forwards. Friends spoke about the difference Lesley had made to Andy's life, while Andy himself spoke about feeling lucky to have found the person he wanted to spend the rest of it with.
That gave the film its direction. Rather than chasing constant energy, the edit was allowed to breathe - giving the words, reactions and quieter moments the space they needed.
A slower, more reflective film shaped around family, memory, love and the feeling of looking back at the life that brought everyone to this moment.
This was not a wedding that needed a heavy beat or constant movement. The story was already there in the words being spoken.
“Andy tells me that you're the love of his life and he wishes he would have met you sooner.”
“I consider myself the luckiest man to be married to such a wonderful woman.”
Those words became the emotional spine of the film. The soundtrack, pacing and edit were built around them rather than forcing the wedding into a predetermined style.
