“He's got a heart of gold. He's so kind and supportive, and he makes Kirsty so happy.”
Kirsty and Connor's wedding had its own momentum from the beginning.
Their friends and family were funny, affectionate and completely relaxed, which meant the day never needed moments manufactured for the camera. There was personality everywhere I looked.
There were the big moments, but also plenty of the slightly chaotic ones — stories about Connor in wedding dresses and Borat-style swimwear, laughter during the speeches and reactions that could never have been staged.
Underneath all of that humour was something much warmer. Friends described Connor as kind, supportive and exactly what Kirsty needed. That combination of fun and genuine affection became the heart of the finished film.
